This provides enterprises unprecedented visibility and control over the consumption and utilization of energy throughout their distributed office environments, data centers and facilities management systems. JouleX was founded in 2009 and is privately held with capital investments from several investors and was awarded with several awards such as Comuterworld Honors Laureate and GE Ecomagination Award. The company is headquartered in Atlanta with offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, Paris, Munich and Kassel, Germany, and throughout the United States. JouleX is expanding its staff in sales, marketing and engineering teams.

After selling the company to Azlan (now Techdata), Brunner remained to lead the business as head of security.
