Vice President, IBM International Corporate Development
Christian Diedrich is VP of IBM International Corporate Development, located in Shanghai, China. He is responsible for developing and executing IBM’s strategy on international Mergers & Acquisitions and to support and advise IBM’s senior international leadership team on driving growth through inorganic investment opportunities, alternative structures, and new and repeatable business models.
Christian joined IBM in August 1984 and held various positions and management roles. In July 2005 Christian was appointed CFO and VP Finance of IBM Germany. He was a key contributor to several transformational projects which returned IBM Germany to profitable growth.
In January 2009 Christian was promoted to CFO and VP of Finance for IBM Northeast Europe IOT, and was responsible for IBM’s financial operations, strategies, management, and controls.
In April 2012 Christian became VP, International M&A Strategy, Armonk, NY. In this role Christian participated in the business model initiatives being developed by Corporate Development, with special focus on accelerating acquisition revenue growth and business development in the GMU and other non-US geographies.
